AACBT Outstanding Practitioner Award
We are proud to share that CCI team member Melissa Burgess, Senior Clinical Psychologist, was the recipient of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT) Outstanding Practitioner Award for 2025. This award was presented to Melissa in October at the AACBT annual national conference at the Esplanade in Fremantle. This is the first time this prestigious national award has been presented to a recipient.
The aim of the annual award is to recognise an outstanding practitioner in clinical practice, service leadership, clinical training, supervision and clinical innovation. The nomination process is competitive, and Melissa’s success reflects the significant contribution she has made to CCI over the last decade. Her achievements extend from co-authorship of several CCI group treatment manuals and online self-help modules, through to supervision and training of clinicians across allied health. At the centre of her work however, is Melissa’s ongoing dedication to delivering leading evidence-based treatments and best care to her clients. Congratulations to Melissa on her well-deserved recognition as outstanding practitioner!
