Next Eating Disorders Group Starting February 2026
CCI is pleased to announce the next Eating Disorders Group Treatment Program (RestorED: Building a Healthy Relationship with Eating and Your Body) will commence in February 2026. This structured group intervention is designed to help individuals develop practical skills and strategies to manage disordered eating effectively.
The program uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a well-researched approach that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Participants will be supported to make changes to their eating patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and build healthier coping strategies.
Key components include:
- Understanding factors that maintain eating disorders
- Self-monitoring and normalising eating behaviours
- Managing binge-eating, purging, and driven exercise
- Building tolerance for emotions without unhelpful behaviours
- Addressing body image concerns and fostering body acceptance
- Challenging unhelpful beliefs about yourself or others
- Relapse prevention and self-management planning
The program consists of 12 weekly sessions (2 hours each), plus two follow-up sessions at one- and three-months post-program. Groups typically include 6–8 clients and run during business hours.
Eligibility: Adults (18+) with Bulimia Nervosa or Binge Eating Disorder.
CCI services are free. If you think this program could help you, please speak to your doctor about a referral. You can also call CCI directly if you would like to have a chat about the treatment program with a clinician. Clinicians are encouraged to refer any clients who may benefit.
